IRCC announced the extension of a temporary policy introduced a year ago to help employers in Canada to find workers and allow temporary residents to enter Jobs with Canadian employers. Canada announced that it is extending until February 28, 2022, a coronavirus-related measure allowing visitors to obtain work permits. This is a temporary policy and it will be recalled after the given extended period. Normally foreign workers who are in Canada on a visitor’s visa cannot change status without leaving the country. Now this policy allowing visitors to find an employer and can submit applications for a work permit without leaving the country. Important to note that visitors are been able to apply for an employer-specific work permit only
Direct Connectivity has finally resumed between India and Canada. Air Canada has started Delhi – Toronto Non-stop with a new protocol on Covid 19 PCR test. Air India could soon start Delhi-Vancouver and Delhi-Toronto non-stops flights. Air Canada require PCR test must be taken within 18 hours of boarding with their flights from the covid 19 Testing Centre at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3. Air Canada further added they will not accept any test PCR test results taken from any other clinics or hospitals from anywhere in India.
